I spoke with Professor Jin Park from American University in Washington DC. She is the current president of the American Academy of Religion, a one-year term, and for those of you who don’t know, the American Academy of Religion is the largest organization of scholars of religious studies in the world. The next annual meeting is taking place in San Diego from November 23 to 26 where President Park will be delivering her presidential address with the theme of “Violence, Nonviolence, and the Margin.” This was quite the interesting conversation so let’s get into it.
